Over his 23-year run as host of Reading Rainbow, LeVar Burton inspired generations of children to discover the joy of books. A lifelong champion of literacy and public education, he continues to share his love of reading on the LeVar Burton Reads podcast – each episode diving into a great work of short fiction by the likes of Neil Gaiman, Haruki Murakami, Octavia Butler and Ray Bradbury.
In an interview for AV Club, Burton was asked to name his five favorite children’s books.
